20 March 2018 - The IRR celebrates Human Rights Day with the release of its latest research showing that relations between South Africans of different races are mainly positive, with an overwhelming majority believing that ‘the different races need each other for progress and there should be equal opportunities for all’.
10 June 2015 – In an article published today in BizNews, the IRR points out that the Government seems to have quietly amended the BEE codes to discourage the appointment of Indian and so-called ‘coloured’ people to senior posts.

18 August - The Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) intends to finalise its draft mining charter within the next two months. Thus far, it shows little sign of compromising on proposed BEE rules that raise the risk of mining in South Africa into the stratosphere, notes the IRR in a new issue of its @Liberty policy bulletin published on 16 August.
22 November 2016 - The IRR has released a report on whether South Africa should reintroduce the death penalty. The report comes against a context of rising levels of serious and violent crime, often characterised by extraordinary cruelty and violence on the part of perpetrators. The current Rhodes Park murder and rape case would be an example.
