Within the global context we remain of the view, reinforced most recently by the British withdrawal from the European Union (Brexit) and by (Chair of the Board of Governors of the US Federal Reserve System) Janet Yellen’s cautionary tone on slow productivity growth in the United States, that forecast G7 growth numbers are too high and that lower than forecast global growth will possibly keep depressing South African exports.
