30 June 2025 - In this submission to the Standing Committee on Public Finance in the National Assembly, the IRR argues that the economic costs of proceeding with the South African Reserve Bank Amendment Bill include increased capital flight, further rand depreciation, a rise in inflation and a diminution in investment, growth and employment, and recommends that the measure be abandoned.
