31 January 2024 - In this submission to the Select Committee on Education and Technology, Sports, Arts and Culture, in the National Council of Provinces, the IRR warns that, if retained, damaging amendments in the Basic Education Laws Amendment Bill risk undermining what should be the government’s overall aim of embracing real reforms aimed at effectively improving the quality of schooling and ensuring that the nation gets real value for the vast sums allocated to education.
