In this submission to the Portfolio Committee on Water and Sanitation, the IRR recommends that the National Water Amendment Bill of 2026 be scrapped, as it is unconstitutional in key provisions, and, if enacted would undermine property rights, deter investment, dampen growth, and worsen unemployment and destitution.
