IRR Webinar: Solutions to SA's crime crisis to boost growth

Crime has become a daily threat to life, opportunity, and economic progress in South Africa. With more than 70 lives lost every day and businesses forced to operate like fortresses, safety has become the first condition for growth.

In "Solutions to SA's crime crisis to boost growth", the latest paper in the IRR's "Blueprint for Growth" series, Associate Editor of the Daily Friend Ricardo Teixeira confronts the reality of crime and justice in South Africa.

Join us on Tuesday 9th December for the online launch of the paper. Here, Ricardo Teixeira and the IRR's Terence Corrigan will explore how crime drains the economy, deters investment, and deepens despair, and ask what real reform of policing, justice, and governance would require. They will look at proven solutions, from reservists and rural safety units to decentralised policing and smarter funding.
