Eskom is celebrating 100 years of existence today. It was on this day in March 1923 that the Electricity Supply Commission or ESCOM was established. A lot has happened since then. Deputy Head of Policy Research at the South African Institute of Race Relations, Martin van Staden, unpacks some of the highs and lows.
