Invitation: In Memorium – Dr Zach de Beer

You are invited to In Memorium – Dr Zach de Beer on Thursday, 10 March 2016, at 11am at the Sandton Convention Centre.

INVITATION

In Memorium  –  Dr Zach de Beer

to all who knew or wish to know of the life of Dr Zach de Beer,
life-long anti-apartheid activist, liberal Afrikaner politician and businessman,
last leader of the Progressive Federal Party
and later co-leader of the Democratic Party…

Some 17 years after his death, admirers of his enormous yet unsung contribution
to the creation of the necessary environment for the fall of race politics in South Africa
have felt that Dr Zach de Beer should be properly remembered and appreciated.

In his memory and honour, John Kane-Berman, recently retired director of the
South African Institute of Race Relations, will deliver this first memorial lecture
in which he will set out an alternative set of policies and ideas to stop the slide of South Africa into the abyss.

Seating is limited.
Those wishing to attend may make reservations through the website www.zjdebeermemorial.co.za

Refreshments and a finger lunch will be served.

Date: Thursday, 10 March 2016
Time: 11:00 for 11:30am
Venue: Sandton Convention Centre

More detail of Dr de Beer’s life and his very significant contribution to the wellbeing
and survival of South Africa and its citizens can be found at
www.zjdebeermemorial.co.za and on Wikipedia.
